What’s with a Rainy Day Survival Kit?

We all witnessed how typhoon Ondoy wrought havoc upon our country last year.
We, at JCA , were also affected as 15th Avenue became flooded.

Again, this rainy season, disease carriers are waiting for you outside.
How can you go to your destined place without packing-up your survival kit for this season?.
Here are few suggestions on how to survive.
Go, bring out your ballpen and paper so you can list down all of the things you need.

PREVENTION
IS BETTER
THAN CURE

Even though it’s not raining that hard, you should have your umbrella.
It’s essential, especially in days when the rain just can’t seem to stop.
Always remember to have your umbrella with you. It may be big, small, long or short
but without an umbrella,  I’m sure sick bay would be your next destination.

It may sound jologs to you but you can also bring a raincoat and a pair of boots.
Of course, it will offer you more protection against the floods.

Imagine soaking your bare foot on the flood. Yikes!
If I were you, I’d rather wear my soothing boots coz’ it will not only prevent you from getting foot diseases but it will also maintain your feet’s cleanliness and health.

But, you don’t have to bring these all the time.

You have to be always informed of what is happening around you. Why don’t you watch news programs such as TV Patrol, Saksi and the like.
Through this, you would know when it will rain or not.

You might also want to subscribe to PAG-ASA text line.
I believe that it will send you updates everytime a storm signal is raised over a specific area.

Remember the old saying, prevention is better than cure.

It’s better to have a survival kit than to feel sorry in the end.
